St. Anne is a village in located in the southeast corner of Kankakee County. The population was 1,257 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Kankakee –Bradley metropolitan Statistical Area. The village, founded in 1850 by a French Canadian Roman Catholic priest and friend of Abraham Lincoln by the name of Charles Chiniquy.
