12/17/24 Village Residents East of Union Pacific Railroad Tracks
A water main break occurred Sunday 12/15/24 on Oak Street. It was necessary to shut off the water east of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks in order to make the needed repairs. Because of this a boil order had to be issued. Water samples were collected and sent to a certified laboratory for analysis. The samples have been confirmed to be free of coliform bacteria. You may return to normal use of your water service. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Laundromat Building – Dana has the paperwork. Hopefully we are almost there.
Ralph Wilkening Property – We gave the agreement to Jackie Wilkening. Waiting to hear back from her is they have any changes.
EPA Loan, Phase 1 – We have received paperwork from the EPA that our project has been approved for $1,500,000. However, there is no forgiveness on this loan amount. I spoke with Neil and he stated the we have moved up the list since other Municipalities have elected not to do their projects at this time. Neil and I think that as more Municipalities projects fall off this list, we will continue to move up the list and into the forgiveness position. Neil was going to reach out to his contact and see how far away we might be until we can receive some forgiveness on this loan. I’ll keep you posted.
Lean-to Shed – With theremoval of the Lean-to Shed almost completed, I would like to thanks all who worked on this project. Karie Witvoet and St Anne Consignment, the St Anne Township Board, Rich & Rick Lottinville, the Beatification Committee, Duane Meier, Thomas Cotton, the St Anne Fire Protection District, our own Don and Charles, and anyone else who helped in this project. This new space looks tremendous. It’s amazing what can be accomplished we people come together and work on a project to make our town look better. Our next step is to replace the ramp on the side of the Civic Center.
